Maryam’s struggle to overcome economic challenges and strive for financial independence.

Maryam, a strong and kind-hearted mother from Kabul province. She live Deh Murad Khan area in difficult living conditions. She does everything she can to take care of her children and overcome economic challenges. Two years ago, her husband, who had become addicted to drugs, left home and they haven't heard from him since. Maryam took on the greater responsibility alone and, despite financial problems and her daughter's illness, continues to work hard.

Alnaz, her 10-year-old daughter, suffers from heart disease that causes severe pain at night. Due to poverty, Maryam is unable to afford treatment for her and her daughter cries pain and sorrow every night. They live in a small rental house and face many economic challenges to provide for their basic needs.

But Maryam never gives up. Her love and dedication to her children help her resist all difficulties. Her heart full of hope drives her forward, and despite all the problems, she remains hopeful for a better future forher children.

This story is an example of the strength and patience of women who never give up on love and striving for a brighter future.

With your support, we were able to donate a sewing machine to Maryam. We are grateful for your generous contributions in supporting these underprivileged families.

Maryam, a mother of two children, struggles with economic challenges. Now, with the sewing machine and all its equipment provided by HBT, she can start generating income and work to achieve financial independence

Our assistance includes the following items:

• Sewing machine

• Measuring tape

• Chair and table

• Thread

• Machine oil

• Ironing press

• Needle pack

• Scissors

• Sewing colors

We are committed to supporting more women in need in Afghanistan, empowering them to become self-sufficient. You can also join us on this path and be a catalyst for change.  Maryam. As the head of the household, Maryam, who recently received a sewing machine from HBT, has the opportunity to develop her sewing skills and achieve financial independence.

 

Previously, HBT has supported Afghan women and continues to focus on empowering women to generate income for themselves and provide for their families

Many mothers like Maryam, who are the heads of their families, face economic hardships and are without access to fuel and food supplies in the upcoming winter. 

She says: “With the weather getting colder, she has no fuel to heat her home, and one of her daughters is also sick”. By supporting our winter campaign, we can help families like Maryam to get through the winter warmly.
