Education is the solution to poverty.

In this critical situations, HBT educates the future leaders of Afghanistan from the most remote, poverty-stricken , and most affected areas of Afghanistan. thus, we believe if we want to change Afghanistan for the better, we need to educate the most remote communities.
Additionally, Since launching operations in 2016, the HBT organization has sponsored over 313 children and their respective families. Plus, HBT rigorously reviews the families it supports with your donations to ensure the children and their families comply with their agreement with HBT.
indeed, the overall intent of the contract with the children’s families is for the children to pursue education and never return to the streets to engage in child labor.
In addition, unlike other charity and aid organizations, HBT ensures every dollar donated to any of our sponsored children goes directly to them without any administrative cost.
Your generous donation brings us one step closer to our mission to
Providing quality educational opportunities for vulnerable and poor Afghan children.
Providing emergency food packages for poverty-stricken and vulnerable people in different provinces of Afghanistan.
Providing drinking water for people in rural areas of Afghanistan by excavating water wells.
Providing female-only ESL courses to promote and empower women and girls in Afghanistan.
Women and Girls need your support
Certainly, during the past decades of war and conflict, Afghanistan has lost its basic infrastructure and educational system. Unfortunately, women have been disproportionately affected by this turbulence in Afghanistan. Furthermore, women have been restrained from their fundamental rights, thus, they have encountered many barriers, like the inability to continue their education and receive proper support, gender inequality, forced marriage, and many others.
Therefore, HBT has established Female-only ESL courses to support Afghan girls during these critical times. In addition, we provide English language courses to promote and enhance women’s and girls’ abilities for the future. Equally, we believe that the English language plays an integral role in their development.
Subsequently, here are some key points about the women’s situation in Afghanistan, which are very heartbreaking and shocking, thus, need our immediate actions to provide a promising future for them in Afghanistan.
- According to UNICEF reports, approximately 3.7 million children are out of school, and 60% of them are female.
- The literacy level among boys is at 66%, while it is just 37% among young girls.
- Only 20% of teachers are women in some provinces, and it is unsuitable for some families to let their girls be taught by male teachers.
- Almost 60% of girls are married by the age 16. And 80% of marriages in poor and rural areas are either forced or arranged.
